Starting Over After Stroke

April 2026 • Stroke Recovery

Recovery after stroke is rarely neat. It can be slow, repetitive, frustrating, and lonely. Some days feel productive. Some days feel like nothing is moving at all.

Starting over does not mean starting from nothing. It means learning how to carry what happened, adapt to what changed, and keep building anyway.

Sometimes progress is visible. Sometimes it is not. Sometimes it is simply making the phone call, showing up to therapy, asking the question, or getting through the day.
